We get it when we get it. As a full-time chaplain at Children's Hospital, I have baptized numerous babies who were about to take their last breath, and even those who had taken their last breath, all at the request of the parents. I have found that even as the "preacher" the official deliverer of the "good news" I've found it difficult to comprehend and have found no problem asking, "why?" It's even scriptural to do so, read the book. -- Rev. Dr. Aminata Binta

I agree Pastor today was a good day! I attended the funeral and can appreciate the message that you delivered. I do know the family and what I feel is sadder than the death of the baby is the fact that not only did most people didnt "get it".... they didnt understand it, Because I did know the some of the family and some of the friends I can tell you they didnt understand it because they haven't picked up that little black book. It totally went over their heads. I know for a fact they didnt know who or what you was talking about. I did take the time to explain your message to some. I look forward to visiting your church again. Keep delivering the Word!

Wow...this is barking right up my alley this week and a lot of other weeks! I have the hardest time always showing joy...I wouldnt say that it is because I dont love others in the same mannner that they love me. I have been doing a lot of soul searching lately and am finding that my life challenges are being reflected in my attitude in many ways. Luckily God is working with me and I have been challenged to actually put some of my anger and dissappointments on paper and actually be able to go over it with another sister in Christ whom God has lead me too! This was actually a big step for me even responding to this blog...for me openly admitting there is a problem is a blessings! Again thank you P. Miller for taking the time to put out the blogs...sometime I am too busy to read but I always catch up...Love Ya

I think most of us do have and spirit of hospitality, joy and excitment when we greet our brothrs and sisters. The question is, is it a real and genuine joy, or just something we do "in church"? How do react to our brothers and sisters when we see them on the street, or in the grocery store?

I agree, Pastor! I decided against making a new year's resolution this time. And, just today, I decided that I was going to work on something that I have always had but really need to dust off - my joy. What you said from the pulpit on Sunday registered TODAY...yes, just today. And, even though I'm a little slow catching on - I am determined to make use of my God-given authority and take dominion over those things that have tried to control me. Those frustrations, dashed dreams, and little annoyances that have tried to hold my joy captive no longer have any power over me. Thank God for a fresh WORD! Good looking out, Pastor!

Fellow Norbeckers...Norbeckites, lol, Life is best when we embrace a simple clean healthy lifestyle. For example, to hear and observe the staccato music and teasing dance of a woodpecker or watch 100 geese line up and fly away to their next resting place. My favorite is to walk in the rain with no umbrella, occasionally sticking out my tongue to catch a raindrop. Oh, and and while walking, don't forget to walk or run through a water puddle and get both your shoes and socks all wet, lol. As I continue to focus on simple clean healthy living I am constantly reminded of God's perfection. When I live simply, I feel more confident that I will catch all that God has intended for me to receive.

Hi Pastor Miller:
I do hope that you and lovely wife are feeling just fine by the time you read this e-mail. Praise God for you and all the wonderful saints that are doing a great work for the Lord. As I veiwed the beautiful pictures of all the various activities that the church is engaged in it just made my heart rejoyced. I wished I was there with you all. I enjoy reading your blog. My prayer is that I can follow Gods' principles and look for the promises that God has assured me, thruogh his Holy Word. I will continue to study the Scriptures, Pray and do what I can according to what God has assigned to me do. Do pray for me, I truly love you and your wife with love of God. I pray and ask God in the of Jesus Christ my Savior to grant me wisdom and understaning that I may continue kingdom work until he come and get me. Finally, may the Lord watch over all of us, continue to let mercy and grace be extended unto us until we meet again.

Love
